What is the most important position in ice hockey?

It has got to be the goalie. You can score all you want but that may not matter if your team gives up a lot of goals as well. A perfect example is this past year's Stanley Cup final where Boston had the 3rd best goals against average and Chicago had the best goals against average. Both teams also tied for the second highest save percentage. Goaltending was a huge reason as to why these two teams were in the finals. Also, the Conn Smythe Trophy, for NHL playoffs MVP, has been given to a goalie for 2 of the past 3 seasons and 16 of the 48 times, one-third, the award has been given out, it has been awarded to a goalie.
