   If you are planning to get married overseas it is being advised that you contact the marriage authorities in that particular country where you plan to marry so as to have a knowhow of their marriage laws and requirements. There are some countries that would require a document declaring that you are legally free to marry. This certificate is called a 'Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage'. As far as some general requirements are concerned, you should preferably be 18 years or more. If you are under 18 then you would need consent of any of your parents, allowing you to marry.
