What is the story behind Tesla Motors?

     Tesla Motors is an electric car manufacturing company based out of Palo Alto, California. The company was founded by serial entrepreneur and PayPal alumnus Elon Musk who envisions the company being a mass producer of quality electric vehicles, one that would eventually change the way the world powers their family and personal vehicles. 


    The company is cleverly named after physicist and engineer Nikola Tesla whose 1882 AC motor design serves as the foundation for Tesla's motors. After 10 years in business, the company posted its first quarterly profit a couple of months ago and looks to be building on that with excellent car reviews and industry disrupting technology and luxury.
