"When colon cancers are discovered at very early phases, the cancerous tissue in addition to some surrounding close by tissues are surgically taken away from the inner area of the intestine.

If the cancerous infection has attacked the wall of the colon, the cancer is taken away along with surrounding colon tissue and the close by lymph nodes. The Medical expert then reconnects the residual components of the colon. If division isn’t possible, an opening in the patient’s abdomen is made to permit wastes to pass out of the body. The colostomy may be essential only until the colon has recovered, or, if the whole r****m is taken off, it may be permanent.

When cancer is in later phases, surgery may be done to decrease symptoms for example blockages and bleeding.

Chemotherapy is often suggested for colon cancer, particularly if the cancerous infection has developed very close by lymph nodes. In later phases of cancer, chemotherapy or radiation may shrink tumors and decrease some symptoms of disease."
