Singapore passports issued before 1 April 2005 are valid for 10 years from the date of issue. Singapore passports issued from 1 April 2005 are valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

If you are renewing your passport which has a remaining validity of 9 months or less, the remaining validity will be carried over to your new passport. In such a case, your new passport will have a validity period of 5 years, plus the remaining validity of your old passport. However, if you are renewing a passport with a remaining validity of more than 9 months, your new passport will have a validity period of 5 years and 9 months.
