   For technical booking reasons, Lufthansa operates several booking classes for the travel classes known as First, Business and Economy. These can be broken down as follows: First Class: A, F, O*; Business Class: C, D, I*, J, Z; Economy Class: Y, B, M, H, X*, P, V, W, Q, S, G, K, L, T, E, U

   These booking class designations simply make allocation easier to First Class, Business Class or Economy Class. Differences between, for example, booking classes Y and Q are not visible on board; they are reflected above all in the flexibility of tickets in terms of changing reservations or getting refunds.
