Pakistann Standard Time which is observed in Pakistan which has a time offset of UTC +5:00(Coordinated Universal Time). The current Pakistan time (PKT) was set up at midnight between 30th April and 1st May, 1954. Before this, PKT used to be according to British ruled Calcutta local time as Indian standard time (IST) which came into use on 1st January, 1906, and was also applied to Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) till partition of subcontinent.
