You can check a website's version of the  Google Analytics source code through your browser. Here's how, depending on the browser you're using:
    In Firefox:
    1. Open your browser
    2. Navigate to the site you wish to track
    3. Click View > Page Source from the browser's menu or press ctrl-U.
    In Google Chrome:
    1. Open your browser
    2. Select the icon that looks like a page (next to the wrench)
    3. Click Developer > View Source
    In Internet Explorer:
    1. Open your browser
    2. Navigate to the site you wish to track
    3. Click View > Source in the browser's tool bar
