The Sacramento Kings are one of famous professional basketball team based in Sacramento, California, United States. They are presently members of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The single team in the "big four" sports leagues situated in Sacramento, they play their home games in Power Balance Pavilion.The Kings investigated their origins to a local semi-professional team based in Rochester, New York in the early 1920s, making them one of the senior basketball clubs still in existence. The team entered in the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1945 as the Rochester Royals. The Royals blemish to the NBL's rival, the Basketball Association of America, in 1948. In 1949, because of that year's merger between the NBL and BAA, the Royals became members of the newly-developed National Basketball Association. Although the Royals were mostly remained victorious in the court, but they had difficulty in turning a profit in the comparatively limited market of Rochester, and resettled to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1957, becoming the Cincinnati Royals. During 1972 the team immigrated to Kansas City, Missouri, initially dividing its games between Kansas City and Omaha, Nebraska, and taking up the name Kansas City Kings. The team again not achieved success in its market, and in 1985 they moved to Sacramento. During1946 the team won the NBL championship and the NBA championship in 1951. They have won one conference championship and five other division championships, since 1945.
