   Paul Moore is the former head of financial risk management at Halifax bank. He rose to fame after having been dismissed from his post after repeatedly warning his higher ups that the bank was exposed to extremely high levels of risk. When said risks were a key factor in the banking crisis of 2008, Moore was recognized as a whistleblower.

   
   

   Incredibly his pleas for more conservative risk practices was reviewed independantly by KPMG who determined that the bank was operating in a suitable risk environment.
