   Molly Wei happens to be one of the two accused, that have been charged with invasion of privacy in an incident in which a Rutgers University classmate secretly filmed his roommate’s sexual encounter with another man, webcasting it live on the Internet in September 2010. Her classmate, Dharun Ravi, at first was charged with invasion of privacy but was later accused of acting with antigay motives. Ms. Wei, who is from Princeton Junction, N.J., and Mr. Ravi, who is from Plainsboro, were each charged with two counts of invasion of privacy for using “the camera to view and transmit a live image” of Mr. Clementi, according to the Middlesex County prosecutor’s office. The most serious charges carry a maximum sentence of five years. Both students were 18 at the time. In April 2011, a New Jersey grand jury indicted Mr. Ravi on hate-crime charges in using a webcam to stream Mr. Clementi’s close encounter. But Ms. Wei was not indicted. The prosecutor, Bruce J. Kaplan, said in a statement that the case against her remained active but would not be presented to a grand jury “at this time,” suggesting that she could testify against Mr. Ravi. The situation would not have gone to be worse as it became. However, the trouble actually got worse when the 18-year-old freshman and aspiring violinist from Ridgewood, N.J., jumped from the George Washington Bridge three days later after the incident.
