    Major General Peter Arnison (Retd) AC CVO is the Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology Australia. He was Governor of Queensland from July 1997 until July 2003. He graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1962, and retired from the Australian Army in 1996. He was the Australian Defence Force's Land Commander Australia (LCAUST) from 1994 until June 1996.
