Why am I having trouble linking my AdWords and Analytics accounts?

I am having trouble while linking the adwords and analytics accounts, though I have followed the procedure for setting it up. Please help

    The two most common issues that Google users encounter when trying to link the two accounts are:
    • You must be an Admin on the Analytics account to create the link.
    • The Analytics account you would like to link is already linked with a different AdWords account
