I am the type of a person who is very much careful about his looks. I make sure that I do not smell bad whether it is my body or my mouth. I spend atleast 5 minutes in brushing my teeth in the morning and do the same before going to bed at night. From the last few days I have noticed some bleeding from my mouth. I feel it is possibly from the tongue as I do not see anything wrong with my teeth. But I would like to know that why do I have bleeding from the tongue after brushing teeth?

Please be informed that there can be many causes for a bleeding tongue. Some causes can be brutal, while others can be easily treated. It is good to see a doctor or a dentist for better diagnosis. However, you must remember that sometimes brushing the tongue for controlling bad breathe and prevent tooth decay can cause the tongue to bleed. The worst thing possible is a tongue cancer but again it is better to consult the doctor before making any guesses.
