Why do so many cows walk the streets in India?

    The reasons for this is twofold. First and foremost, cows are revered in India, earning a devine reputation that allows them to walk and rest where and how they please out of respect. The other contributing factor is the fact that cows do not like walking and wading in water and during rainy season in India this forces cows onto the developed roads and streets.
