Why don't my Google AdSense units reflect changes I've made right away?

I have a very functional blog for which I tried to change adsense units but I don’t see them. I need to know why Google takes so long to do that

    When you update the settings for an AdSense unit, you'll need to wait for Google servers to be informed of the change and start displaying the new settings.
