I usually do not like to eat chicken as I do not like the taste of white meat. Until and unless it is cooked, roasted or grilled properly I cannot have a lump down my throat. The reason I bring is only because my like to have it in almost every type of meal like noodles and vegetables. Whenever I bring chicken, the smell that it has being raw really gives me a headache. I have even tried buying it from the cleanest possible poultry shops but there was no difference. I would like to know why there is a bad smell in raw chicken.

Just like the body of other animals, there are chemical reactions taking place inside the stomach or the digestive systems. As a result of these chemical reactions, certain gases are evolved inside the body. When an animal or a bird is slaughtered for obtaining meat, these gases although leave the carcass but the odour would still be there. Once you have washed it thoroughly with cold water the smell goes away. If the chicken is rotten the smell is totally different and unbearable.
