Will I ever use algebra in real life?

My Year 10 maths teacher Mr Hughes seemed to think so when I asked him what it was for. He has yet to be proven right, god rest him.

    I never have in my entire life but people who are working with programming are using algebra daily. Depends on what you're going to work with.

    No never, you wont use pythagoras theorem either. Math's is pointless.
