   After India went on to win the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, as a result of a mishit by Pakistan's Misbah-ul-Haq, there were several projections that India will go on to win the ICC Cricket 50-50 World Cup as well. A team with a relatively weak bowling attack and not extra-ordinary lethal batting cannot be thought of winning the world cup title, considering their performance in the T20 World Cups of 2009 and 2010 where they couldn't reach the semi-finals. Same was the case in ICC Champions Trophy where the present champions were at the mercy of their arch rivals to remain in the tournament. The only way India could have won the world cup was by playing on their hone ground which proved to be true in world cup 2011.
