   MTV announced the nominees for the MTV EMA 2011. Lady Gaga 6 nominations, closely followed by Katy Perry and Bruno Mars with 4 each are noted. Adele has become the biggest selling artist of the year and has been nominated for three awards, like Justin Bieber and Thirty Seconds to Mars. The 18th edition of the awards will air Nov. 6 from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
   
   Other nominees include Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears, Rihanna, LMFAO, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, David Guetta, Eminem, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Snoop Dog, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, Black Eyed Peas, Enrique Iglesias, among others.
   
   The Biggest Fans award is a new category in this release, which recognize the most dedicated fan base for a particular artist. To make our favorite artist takes one of these prizes home, we visit the site of MTV Latin America and vote.
   
   This year the World Wide Act category, which celebrates diversity and musical openness that MTV has to nominate artists from all over the world is presented. The nominees in each region with the most votes will compete for this distinction. Some of the nominees are BabasÃ_nicos, Belanova, Calle 13, and Panda.
   
   It is envisaged that the audience for this transmission will be more than 1.2 billion people via MTV 's global network. The EMA 2010, held in Madrid, had an audience of 22.2 million viewers worldwide.
