blowing cold air. my Zannusi tumble dryer is blowing cold air only.. why

   Hi There,
   Check to make sure the terminals on the compressor are not burned off. If you have an ohm meter ohm out the compressor for continuity. Also check from the terminals to a copper line to make sure the compressor is not shorted out. Also check the capacitor (tin can looking device) that it is not swollen and that the terminals are good. By the time you do all that the compressor should not be hot, if it was to begin with. If compressor still won't run it may need a hard start kit. Any repairman can install that for you. Note that using a hard start kit may still not make the compressor run as sometimes the bearings are just too bad.
