I have been suffering from hypothyroidism; the doctor gave me a prescription of medicines as well as he told to take cruciferous vegetables, what are cruciferous vegetables? Can I have a list of these vegetables?

     Vegetables of the family Brassicaceae (also called Cruciferae) are called cruciferous vegetables. The family takes its alternate name (Cruciferae, New Latin for "cross-bearing") from the shape of their flowers, whose four petals resemble a cross. Examples of these vegetables are cauliflower, cress, bok Choy, broccoli and cabbage as well, these type of vegetables are widely cultivated for food production.
