Mr goat, his daughter only started working on the show in new Orleans, that's 4 years, not 7. 7 years ago she was still in highschool. Don't forget how creative editors can be, the real crew, that does all the work, was probably shocked to hear Mike say that his kid, who probably only works when cameras are rolling, just like Mike & her brother, deserves her own show. Not because they were amazed by her 'skills'. I can't think of two people who look more consistantly uncomfortable in front of cameras than Mike's 2 kids, it's actually painful to watch. In four years she hasn't become better at all, she still looks like she would rather be anywhere else than there. IMO

Mike Holmes, when he gets the opportunity you hear his thoughts about what he wants for his kids. One episode from 2010, you have Sherry doing some pretty basic stuff  she did it unsupervised. The whole crew was shocked, and Mike simply added that he thinks she should have her own show soon. I'm pretty sure he's serious. And they are showing her more often as a talking head. Took her 7 years to look more in control on cam, but heck, it's not her fault. Imagine your pops being the head of this big show. Wouldn't you want to be involved?

I believe so.  With the addition of yet another Holmes kid, less Mike and those useless graphics,  it has lost me.  Don't care for it much at all.  I'll stick to reruns of HOH.

Is it just me or does it seem that the 2nd season focuses too much on the Holmes kids and not enough on the other members of the crew?  I have yet to hear the other 'tool girl' say more than a couple of words.  At all.

  5. Guest9930

Maybe they hired the new tool girl because she is stacked.

  6. Guest3520

Poor reason to hire someone when you need work done right?  Or am I missing the point of the show?

  7. Guest106

What else would you expect from a bunch of guys?

  8. Guest2160

Apparently, not much at all.  Although, she was helping to dig a trench and holding her own.  That's something.

oh please! the tool girl and holmes kids are just there for show. There is no way those girls are actually working once the cameras stop rolling, look at how chubby they are, if they were working their asses off it would show. I bet the only thing sherry worked on 110% in new orleans was her tan! Holmes is becoming just another cheesy reality show, if he wants to continue being taken seriously he should put his kids back behind the scenes where they belong.

I know what you mean abot the 110% in NO.  I'm so tired of seeing that quote about her.  What did she do there?  I think she cleaned the house before the reveal.  Prob. spent the rest of the time in he air conditioned trailer.  No way in h**l she worked as hard (squee!) as Damon.

I saw that quote on HGTV, maybe the network wants people to take them seriously, LOL, good luck, they must think viewers are stupid! I've read interviews with their dad where he paints a more realistic picture of his kids. There was one where he actually says he had to bribe them all with cars just to get them to pass high school because at one point they were all flunking. My favourite article thought is the one where mike jr says he wasn't into carpentry because he was more into school and in the same paragraph his dad says the only thing his son worked hard at was nintendo. In another article the dad explains how the son dropped out of school and finished with a tutor. Why work hard at school if daddy is going to give you free cars and a free paycheck.  lol, ya , they sound like a really motivated, hard working bunch of kids.  No wonder they all have to 'work' for their dad.

Hmmm, interesting.  I always assumed that quote was given from the Holmes media people, but who knows?  It's assinine, regardless.  Damon and Carl are the only hard workers.  Heck, Mike doesn't even labor on the show anymore.  All three of his kids work for him.  What ever will they do when the show stops production and they need a job that isn't handed to them?  And where are you reading all of these articles?  I can't ever find anything.

Junp the shark?  No way!  Last epiode I heard Damon say "penetrate many holes."  Delish!
