dvd burning. software(dvd photo slideshow or sonic record now) shows progress, but the green light

software(dvd photo slideshow or sonic record now) shows progress, but the green light on rom drive doesnt come on. software shows congratulations, completed, but nothing is on the disc. what could be the problem? please help

    don't use recode to burn a data dvd
    but

    There can be a problem in your dvd drive. Try to use it on your friend's pc and see if the same problem occur that means you have a problem in DVD rom otherwise you can try another writer software.
