Employees and employers both have certain rights and responsibilities. One must know that what the law says to him and your employer and try to implement all these regulations in your work place, as it will save the environment of workplace. Few important aspects are given below: Employees must: • Employees must work safely in order to protect not only themselves but also others from any unpleasant injury or accident. Always follow all the safety instructions. • Use all the protective equipment that company gives you. • Utilize safe work methods. • Do not interfere with other or misuse in the workplace in order to keep the workplace peaceful. • Don’t not remove or replace machine guards as they will protect you from any unpleasant happening. • Don’t have such behavior that puts themselves or others at risk. • Always respond to a reasonable request to provide help or first aid to an injured person at work. • Must inform to authorities about any issues, including hazards, injuries, illnesses and near misses. Employers must: 1. Specifically orientate, train and supervise staff in order to ensure safe work strategies are followed by all staff. 2. Communicate with all employees, before making specific decisions that will affect safety in the workplace. 3. Provide suitable personal protective tools in order to make sure employees can do their job safely and also give training to the workers that how to use them correctly. 4. Consistently check OHS systems and process in order to make sure that worker are proper protected from workplace hazards.
