flashing yellow light on my lacie 19" monitor

i have an old blue lacie monitor that i haven't used for a few years...when i plug it in the light is green, but within a few seconds it turns to a flashing yellow light...no picture

Hello,

The flashing power light or not turning on is the classic symptoms of a power supply that has failed. Check out our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm To get the monitor going you will need to open the back of the monitor and get to the power supply. The page on our site has pictures and information about repairing the power supply it involves changing a few capacitors on the power supply. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for most monitors that runs $35 plus return shipping.
