    Hi,
    Place transmission in neutral and raise and support vehicle.
    Remove wheel and tire assembly.
    Remove brake drum.
    Remove differential cover and drain lubricant.
    Rotate differential case to access the pinion shaft lock s***w. Remove lock s***w and pinion shaft from differential case (PINION MATE SHAFT LOCK s***w).
    Push axle shaft inward then remove axle shaft C-lock (AXLE SHAFT C-LOCK).
    Remove axle shaft being carefull not to damage shaft bearing and seal.
    Inspect axle shaft seal for leakage or damage.
    Inspect axle shaft bearing contact surface for signs of brinelling, galling and pitting.
