i purchased this digital camera chargrd the battery up like it said on the manual,i put the battery in the camera i could only get it in 1 way,the camera didnt work so i tried to take the battery out but i dont know how to do it,can you help

    I HAVE PURCHASED A HITACHI HDC-1097E DIGITAL CAMERA I CHARGED THE BATTERY PUT THE BATTERY IN THE CAMERA ,I COULD ONLY GET IT IN ONE WAY BUT THE CAMERA DIDNT WORK ,SO I TRIED TO TAKE THE BATTERY OUT OF THE CAMERA BUT DIDNT KNOW HOW TO DO IT COULD YOU HELP

    on the top of the battery inside that camera is a little orange catch [beside the hinge. Push this toward the hinge and the battery will pop up.
