how are veins adapted to their function

    veins carry blood back to the heart they ha wider lumen reletive to arteries. They dont have elastic tissue or thick muscle because the pressure is low.but they have valves which prevent blood flowing backwards.

    They adapt because they are small so they can fit round  parts of the body.
