Question:

how can i heal my industrial piercing

got it done almost a month ago and its still red and hot and swollen a bit and around it the skin is gone dark a bit, been to a doctor but they said it was ok???????? yet there is no discharge or anything, no pus, just red and swollen i turn it once or twice a day, i will go back to my piercer about it soon maybe its a metal allergy????

Well I have just gotten my industrial about a week ago and was thinking the same thing. I went back to my piercer and he said that this piercing is very complex therefore needing a longer time to heal. It can take anywhere from 3-12 months even in some cases 16!so just clean it with either saline or salt water mixture,and do a hot compress 1-2 times a day which drains out the gunk. Hope I helped=)

I got my piercing done in February.

First couple of days the ear was very sensitive and I had trouble going out in the cold (Results from Ontario, Canada in the winter) I couldn't sleep on it either.

Three weeks later I was able to sleep on it, the swelling vanished, and it was much less sensitive. No more scabs either I'm able to move it through the holes and twist it with minimal pain. Only slight stinging.

To clean it I put pure water in a glass, and mix it with a lot of normal salt. Dip a Q-Tip in it and rub the salt water on the Q-Tip on the two holes both extremities.
