You will have to use web mail or install an E-mail program like Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird to view your mails on windows 7.    It is possible to install outlook express on windows 7. You can simply install outlook express on windows 7 by following these few steps.
   
   C:\program files\windows mail Is what you want to copy.
   
   Right click copy and then on the desktop right click paste
   
   After upgrading to Windows 7 (takes 1 -2 hours)
   
   Go to c:\program files. Find windows mail, right click rename it 'windows
   
   mail_old'
   
   Right click windows mail on the desktop, copy and go to c:\program files,
   
   right click paste
   
   Go back  to c:\program files\windows mail, find winmail.exe, right click
   
   send to desktop, create shortcut. Open that.
   
   If it works then delete windows mail folder on your desktop
