Question:

how do I get sound back on my computer?

I had sound.  I was not great so I tried upgrading with a Creative Labs soundblaster X-fi Go!
That was a disaster.  I lost all sound.  I have disconnected the soundblaster and wiped all the files with the de-install.

But still I have no sound.  I should have the original sound.  Why not ?

    You may have to reinstall your sound driver.
