    Hi,

          Step 1

Locate the two screws on the faceplate of the doorknob that are holding the unit together. They are usually on the side of the door that is inside a room. Remove the two screws with a screwdriver.

          Step 2

Slide the door k**b assembly away from the door while holding the doorknob on the other side of the door. Once the first doorknob and assembly are free, the other doorknob should come off completely.

       Step 3

Unscrew the two screws that are holding the striker faceplate on over the end of the door. Carefully slide the striker mechanism out of the door. If the striker will not come out, place the screwdriver through the back of the mechanism inside the hole for the doorknob and lightly tap the screwdriver to loosen the striker mechanism.
       4.     Step 4

Unscrew the two screws that are holding the faceplate on the doorjamb with a screwdriver. Remove the faceplate and clean out any debris that is sitting in the doorjamb.
