    Hi,
Both sides. There are two on that engine and my info says they are not cheap. If the gauge was okay before you replaced the pump it should be okay now unless there is air in the system.Open the bleed valve while filling the radiator and start the engine until nothing but coolat gomes out. Then close the bleed valve. Here is how to change the thermostats.

    Left Thermostat

       1. With engine cold, remove cooling pressure caps from engine and coolant tank.
       2. Loosen system bleed tap from lefthand side of radiator top rail.
       3. Disconnect lower radiator hose and partially drain coolant.
       4. Disconnect top radiator hose from thermostat housing.
       5. Remove three thermostat housing bolts. Loosen air cleaner mounting bracket upper nut and remove bracket from thermostat housing.
       6. Remove thermostat and gasket.
       7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

        *
             1. Torque themostat housing bolts to 17-20 ft.lbs.
             2. Slowly fill coling system through engine filler cap, allowing air to bleed through bleed tap until coolant overfkow is full.

    Right Thermostat

       1. With engine cold, remove cooling pressure caps from engine and coolant tank.
       2. Loosen system bleed tap from lefthand side of radiator top rail.
       3. Disconnect lower radiator hose and partially drain coolant.
       4. Remove righthand air cleaner cover and element.
       5. Disconnect two wires from switch in air cleaner backplate.
       6. Reposition supplementary air valve from backplate. Remove four bolts securing air cleaner backplate to throttle housing and remove backplate.
       7. Disconnect top radiator hose from themosta housing.
       8. Remove four themosta housing bolts.
       9. Remove thermostat and gasket.
      10. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

        *
             1. Torque thermostat housing bolts to 17-20 ft.lbs.
             2. Slowly fillcooling syatem through engine filler cap, allowing air to bleed through bleed tap until coolant tank is full.
