how to remove gas tank from sabre lawn mower

   1.  Raise the seat (as you would to add gas)
   2.  Remove the 2 springs that the seat rests on (use a socket with extension).
   3.  Remove the gas line, use needle nose pliers to squeeze open the clamp, then pull the hose.
   4.  Have a helper, lift up on the rear of the body panel, reach under the panel and lift the gas tank out.
   5.  Install in reverse order.
   
   The body panel is quite flexible...I called a John Deere service shop and this is how they do it.  10 minute job.
