i deleted my gmail account and I want to re activate it.

I have a droid eris phone and I linked it to my gmail account. Then I tried google voice and I was unhappy with it. I couldn't figure out how to just delete google voice so I ended up just deleting my whole gmail account. Now my phone is messed up because I don't have that account any more. Is there anyway to get my account back. My email was jarrodaydelott@gmail.com
