   Hi,
   Two kind of projects usually win awards: Mechanical projects, or Biological , chemical depictions. I would go with mechanics. I would recommend trying to make a wooden model of the Brooklyn Bridge, or a model of the Milan bridge in France. Other models could be making a model of a protein's quaternary structure (check the image I put in the "wish me luck" thread" and you can see how proteins have quaternary structures as well.)
