   Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, is a registered charity that was established over 20 years ago by Mr Mahendra Mehta. It was set up in order to tackle the problems of poverty in Mumbai, especially amongst young children.    The Food for Education Program:
   
   Village children of economically deprived families normally dropout of school to help their parents with the family income. In an effort to encourage these children to regularly attend their classes, this program promises the children food in return for their attendance. The program has successfully resulted in retaining students longer in the education system as well as making them more active in classes. Currently, there is a shortage of milk powder; therefore, E.Y.E. for Underprivileged is collecting donations to buy milk powder in India for the children.
