    Hi,
    Unplug the Whirlpool dryer from the wall outlet. Turn the water supply off at the spigot. If your Whirlpool dryer is gas, you will also need to turn off the gas valve.

    Using a screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the front of the control panel to the dryer top. Flip the control back, allowing it to rest in the service position.

    Use a screwdriver to remove the three screws on top panel near the control panel. Press in the locking tab to disconnect the wiring harness on the top center of the rear top panel.

    Lift the top panel up and slide it off of the Whirlpool dryer. Use a putty knife inserted between the bottom of the front panel and top of the toe panel to release the retaining clips securing the toe panel. Pull the toe panel away from the dryer.

    Unhook the two door springs connected to the base of the dryer. Pull down on the springs to unhook them. Open the dryer door and use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lint duct. Remove the lint duct and close the dryer door.

    Remove the four screws securing the front panel corners to the side panels using a screwdriver. Disconnect the wiring harness inside the clip just under the right side panel. Pull the front panel away from the Whirlpool dryer.

    Go behind the dryer and use a screwdriver to remove the three screws from the rear of the top cover. Lift up on the cover and slide the cover off of the dryer.

    Press the locking tab that connects the wiring harness to the electronic console. Pull the harness apart after pressing the locking tabs in to disconnect the harness.

    Go to the front of the dryer and press out on the two end tabs that connect the console to the front of the dryer. Pull up on the console to unhook it from the front and pull the console away from the dryer.

    Open the dryer door and use a small putty knife to pry the door switch off of the dryer. Use needle nose pliers to remove the three wires from the door switch terminals. Be sure to grab and pull the wires by the leads and not the wire itself.

    Remove the lint filter from the bottom of the dryer door. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws on each side of the lint filter cavity. Close the dryer door. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws on the bottom of the toe panel and pull the toe panel away from the dryer.

    Use a screwdriver and loosen the two screws at the top of the front panel. Rremove the two screws at the bottom of the front panel. Hold onto the front panel and finish removing the two top screws. Carefully remove the front panel away from the dryer.
