    According to U.S. president Barack Obama's team, Columbia, a nation that was once synonymous with cocaine has since been overtaken in terms of overall production. The title of top cocaine producing nation now belongs to Peru, followed by Bolivia.

   
   

   Columbia now finds itself in third place as of 2011. Although production estimates are exactly that, mere estimates, it's the best we have to work with and assess with.
