What is the value of this rifle?  Mine is in very good shape.  It has Sears, Roebuck's name on it.

Your firearm was indeed sold by Sears & Roebuck. The current value for a used .22 in NRA good condition is $100-$160. If you are fortunate enough to have the rifle equipped with a scope the value increases $25-50.
Manufactured in, i believe, the 50s,60's and 70's, it is basically a Marlin or Savage made rifle (web site facts differ). Currently Hi-Standard industries is said to have trademark rights on J.C. Higgins. A decent quality rifle, it is better cleaned and shot occasionally than collected for it's value.
