lincoln mig welder won't feed wire

   I have a 180 HD and i have the same problem so i unhooked the wires from the gun to the machine and i hooked a wire to the plug on the welder where the gun plugs in and the wire started to feed so my guess is that the gun which is a L100 on is bad . there should be two wires that go from the gun trigger to the welder use a jumper wire to conect them and see if your wire feeds and that should tell you if its the gun trigger.
