    My doctor growing up was always very good at keeping things that I wanted private exactly that way from my parents and mom. This began when I was about 10 years old and continued until the very last appointment I attended there with my mother in any capacity.

   
   

   I think that age is perfect because kids may have questions or begin experiencing the many changes that come with puberty and other things one doesn't want their mom in the room to hear about.
