I think Hershy is 7 weeks old ..im scared hes going to get hurt. Yesterday am i found him laying sideways on the bottom and he was slightly stuck ..and exhausted he slept alot after...then in the afternoon i had him on my shoulderand he jumped off..hes been clipped which Im not sure was a great thing since he climbs up to his perch..he has many branches and perches up halfway and higher.. a bird specialist set up his cage. I have lowered his favorite perch he sleeps on so he doesnt crash cannonball style...also have put his water on the floor so I know hes able to drink it..which ive seen since putting on the floor..he fluffs up when hes on my finger sometimes..is this normal..also seems to itch with his feet at his head..is this also normal? I have recently lost my job and I spent all my extras on his home and love him so much...I cant take him to the vet right away so any helpful advice is appreciated..I cant sleep im so worried about this sweet babybird!! He does eat often and preens alot so i know thats good ":) thanks all carey!!
