my eee pc will turn on but windows will not start, stays on blue screen?

we took back to best buy, we had a problem with the battery not keeping charge,they sent a new battery. while we were there we asked about memory, the guy took the back off didn't really seeem to know what he was doing, and two days later it won't do anything but turn on blue startup screen and nothing else. is there something i can do at home reboot or what?

    you need a new cord that hooks n ur computer and projector
