There are two solutions of this problem which are as follows:

1]When a SIM works in other phones and no other SIMs work in the particular phone, there is a phone issue. Somehow it has become corrupted and it will need replaced promptly. If purchased new from AT&T less than one day ago, it is under warranty as long as there is not liquid or physical damage. If purchased refurbished from AT&T less than 90 days ago, it is under warranty as long as there is not liquid or physical damage. If neither of these apply and you have insurance, use it and there will be a $50 deductible applied to your next bill. If not purchased from AT&T, seek replacement from ebay, craigslist, or a go phone (put your sim in the phone... it will have your phone number, contacts, and information and you won't have prepaid service).

2]you can take your card in and have it replaced if you call customer service and let them know the problem.if the card worked before but stoped working you may need to do a soft reset( note a soft reset will not erase your personal data) but will reset the phone.
both of these will cost you nothing. now in case neither of these work then i would service or replace your cell phone
