   Hi,
   If you have told me the whole story (I am always suspicious of RCA brand tvs) then I would say it is either the convergence circuit if failure mode and/or the vertical deflection amplifier.  It will cost at least $400 for the repair.
   
   But, I recommend you to get a second opinion before deciding what to do.  I think it is worth the $80 to $100 to have a tech come in and make a diagnosis by taking some measurements to find out for certain.

   Hi,
   This is clearly, in my opinion, a bad convergence system.  
   
   The cost of repair is always about $400 plus or minus.  
   
   Since Mitsu makes good sets, it is probably in you interest to spend the money and get it fixed.  UNLESS: you have your eye on one of the new fancy models coming out.
