    At age 45, you may feel that dating, particularly online dating can be an intimidating proposition. No doubt it may be outside of your comfort zone, but getting back out into the dating game could prove to be the best thing you ever do. 

   
   

   My advice would be to join reputable and established websites like Match.com or eHarmony. These will offer more options than smaller sites along with more thorough compatibility checks. Beyond this, make every effort you can to be honest with your profile - both written and in terms of photos. Although you may have looked like Brad Pitt in 1995, there is no need to feature such a dated photo. They can be perceived as deceiving and that is not a reputation you want. Be genuine and sincere in all aspects and correspondence. Put yourself in the other person's shoes and act accordingly.
