place bobbin correctly in sonata sewing machine

I have an older Sonata machine,I keep getting bird nestingon the bottom.I lost manual,how do I adjust tension,and place bobbin in correctly?

    Bird nesting under your work is usually related to incorrect top threading or very low top tension.  First re-thread on top.  Then check that your top tension adjustment is about half way (usually between 4&5).  Make sure the bobbin is in the bobbin case correctly (thread comes off of the bobbin and makes a "U" turn into the tension.
