problems with a delonghi space heater model ew0507t

I have a brand new delonghi ew0507T space heater.  plugged it in yesterday and it worked fine.  woke up this morning and the heat had turned off.  both the wattage economizer switches were in on position but not "on".  tried plugging it into a different circuit...still doesnt work.

    This happened one day when the City Electric Company disconnected us to do some repair work.  I took a gamble that it might be the anti freeze protection due to the fact that the entire house was ice cold. Firstly I left the unit unplugged for approx. one hour. I warmed the heater up and as soon as the temperature came up the heater worked fine.
